FCA warning against FXGbp Markets broker scam associated with the Latvian Racket

Spread financial intelligence

The UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) issued an investor warning against the FXGbp Markets broker scam operating with the domain www.fxgbmarkets.com. The legal entity behind the scam is allegedly International Markets Management Ltd, registered in London, United Kingdom. An interesting fact in that scam is that it claims to be regulated by the two private “regulators,” irbem (here) and MFA (here). Bullshit, that is. These are not regulators. As a payment processor, we noticed again the operator of the domain www.transakcia.com (Transakcia) which is connected to the Forex & Crypto Technology Provider sanfrix.

International Markets Management Ltd, registered in the UK Companies House, is controlled by the Latvian citizen Ivans Gilejs, born in April 1992. This guy is also the sole director of the company, which was registered in August 2020. This very same Ivans Gilejs is registered with several other companies as a director and beneficial owner, all of which were incorporated between March and November 2020. This indicates the affiliation with Latvian Racket, whose companies in the UK have been established in this period.

Another indication is that FXGbp Markets and the scams of the other scams of the Latvian Racket, which are partly operated through Finex Group Ltd, which was founded in the UK in August 2020, also work with the broker solution of sanfrix. A final argument in favor of the FXGbp Markets scam belonging to Latvian Racket is that payments there are also processed via https://checkout.transakcia.com.

If you have any information about FXGbp Markets or the other scams or the people involved in Latvian Racket, we would be grateful if you could share it with us.
