The crypto exchange operator Crypto.com and the City of Busan announced today the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collectively advance the blockchain industry. Crypto.com will establish a workforce presence within Busan and also sponsor and participate in this week’s Busan Blockchain Week. The goal is to advance the City of Busan’s blockchain ecosystem and Digital Assets Exchange project.
“The City of Busan is making great strides in becoming a global hub for innovation and we are excited to partner and support these efforts,” said Eric Anziani, COO of Crypto.com.
“This agreement is another step for Busan’s growth as a global digital finance hub,” said Hyeong-joon Park, Mayor of Busan. “Our city will provide our full administrative support to expand the space for global digital financial companies to operate.”
This MoU follows Crypto.com securing its Electronic Financial Transaction Act and Virtual Asset Service Provider registration in South Korea by acquiring payment service provider PnLink Co., Ltd and virtual asset service provider OK-BIT Co., Ltd.
