Marc Suárez joined the CySEC-regulated broker BDSwiss in December 2021. He has been appointed LATAM Marketing Manager to support the broker in these new target markets. According to forex magazine FNG, “BDSwiss is continuing its focus away from Europe in favor of international markets.” No surprise here. BDSwiss had many problems with regulators in 2022 and 2021 because of its offshore operations. The UK FCA has already banned BDSwiss from the UK market in 2021.
Marc Suárez’s appointment comes days after BDSwiss hired Andreas Andreou as its new Chief Commercial Officer in Cyprus. The company is moving away from the EU and towards the MENA, LATAM, and APAC regions. The new strategy is headed by Nicolas Shamtanis as CEO and Martha Leventi as Head of Business Development.
The reinvention of the BDSwiss Group is also urgently needed after difficult years with severe regulatory issues. As reported by FinTelegram, BDSwiss Group, controlled by German Jan Malkus, has shut down its “BDSwiss” brand in Europe along with its associated domains and is planning a fresh start with the Viverno brand. Similarweb statistics show that the Viverno website has received very few visitors in the last 28 days. In this respect, massive marketing work is needed to develop the new brand.
