The crypto space is still a sort of reguatory wild wild west environment. To address this challenging environment, Binance, the world’s largest crypto exchange, announce the creation of its new Global Advisory Board (GAB), chaired by former US Senator and Ambassador to China Max Baucus. The board’s purpose is to advise Binance on some of the most complex regulatory, political, and social issues the entire crypto industry faces as it grows and evolves at a fast pace. Members include various figures like Ibukun Awosika, HyungRin Bang, Bruno Bezard, Leslie Maasdorp, Henrique de Campos Meirelles, Adalberto Palma, David Plouffe, Christin Schäfer, Lord Vaizey, and David Wright.
In the press release, Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao said that his exchange faced issues that “no one even knew existed.” Zhao believes that forming GAB is a step toward advancing the firm’s mission. He said:

With the GAB, we’re supercharging our ability to manage regulatory complexity by tapping into the highest level of expertise available anywhere in the world”
