The Spanish CNMV issued a warning against Genius Assets in May 2022. At that time, the crypto trading scheme was still operated through a legal entity in Estonia which has since been deleted. The operator of this digital asset marketplace is now Genius Assets LLC. Jurisdiction is not indicated on the website. It is likely to be a Romanian project operated through Dubai. At least the CEO Claudiu Buda is based there. We have added the project to our Red Compliance list.

Short Narrative
Genius Estates OÜ has received a crypto license from the Estonian FIU and is therefore allowed to offer virtual currency services. In an ICO, Genius Assets offered its own tokgen GeniuX (IUX).
The company lost the Estonian crypto license in June 2022. The company was deleted in March 2023. All this does not sound very trustworthy.
Compliance Check
Genius Assets has not had a crypto license since June 2022. The Estonian company was deleted in March 2023. We have not received any further information on the new operator. The Spanish Regulator CNMV has issued a warning. Polygon Studios allegedly power the project; we could not verify that. Moreover, we think that Genius Assets works with fake social media profiles and avatars.
We assign a Red compliance rating for Genius Assets and a warning to all potential investors.
