Singapore-based crypto exchange Crypto.com announced today it had secured Electronic Financial Transaction Act and Virtual Asset Service Provider registration in South Korea by acquiring payment service provider PnLink Co., Ltd. and virtual asset service provider OK-BIT Co., Ltd. With more than 50 million clients, Crypto.com is one of the largest crypto exchanges worldwide. Crypto.com is operated by Foris DAX Asia Pte. Ltd, a Singapore-based company that’s a subsidiary of Foris DAX MT (Malta) Limited.
The latest announcement from Crypto.com came almost two weeks after the company received regulatory approval from CySEC. In June 2022, the firm obtained in-principle approval from Singapore’s MAS. Crypto.com has also received registration in Greece from the Hellenic Capital Market Commission (HCMC), registration in Italy from the Organismo Agenti e Mediatori (OAM), and provisional approval of its Virtual Asset License from the Dubai Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority.
Crypto.com is one of the most aggressive crypto exchanges worldwide and signed Hollywood superstar Matt Damon as its brand ambassador. It also has sponsorship deals with the car racing championship Formula One, the Italian association football league Serie A, and many other sports organizations.
