Like every Monday over the last couple of months, the Italian Consob ordered the black-out of websites that illegally offer financial services to Italian consumers. This time three websites have been ordered to be blacked out. The Italian Growth Decree has authorized the Italian regulator to order internet service providers to block access from Italy to websites offering financial services without the proper authorization. Within the EU, Consob is currently the only regulator to take this effective measure.
Below are the sites Consob has ordered to be blacked out:
- VIBEINV Invest Limited with the website www.vibeinv.com;
- FXgbp Markets with the website https://fxgbpmarkets.com;
- MaxInvesto with the website www.maxinvesto.com.
The number of sites blacked out since July 2019, when Consob got the power to order that the websites of fraudulent financial intermediaries be blacked out, has thus risen to 482.
