Until recently, Equiti Group solicited European clients via their offshore entity without authorization offering up to 1:500 leverage (read our review here). On 5 October 2022, the Equity Group announced that its Cyprus entity Equiti Global Markets Ltd had secured a CySEC license; Hesham Hasanin was appointed as CEO in Cyprus.

Hesham Hasanin, who has been Executive Director of the group’s EGM Labs in Cyprus since mid-2020, was appointed CEO of Equiti Global Markets Ltd, the CySEC-authorized entity. In addition to setting up Equiti’s Cyprus-based operation, Hesham Hasanin was also the Global Head of Trading Solutions at Equiti Group.
