The public prosecutor’s office in Munich has issued an arrest warrant against the former CEO of Wirecard, Markus Braun. He was arrested on Monday, June 22, 2020.
The arrest of Braun is an inevitable consequence. In view of the accusations of years of balance sheet manipulation and the associated fraud committed by shareholders of DAX-listed Wirecard, Braun had to be taken into custody on charges of flight risk and danger of collusion.
Our sister website FinTelegram has been reporting on Wirecard‘s strange business practices since 2018. This also in connection with fraudulent binary options providers such as the GreyMountain Management of the Israeli David Cartu. It is now known that Braun and his colleague Jan Marsalek had excellent connections to Israel.
According to information available to FinTelegram, Wirecard was one of the worst facilitators of illegal broker scams and illicit businesses. FinTelegram has regularly forwarded this information to BaFin and the responsible public prosecutor’s office. Until recently, however, we fell on deaf ears with this information.
