Merchant Alert: Russian Crypto Payment Processor Mercuryo Lost Almost Half Of Its Web Traffic!

Spread financial intelligence

Russian-controlled crypto payment processor Mercuryo does not have easy times. Most recently, they organized a SLAPP action against FinTelegram through the Austrian law firm Binder Grösswang. And they lost in court in the first instance. In a Similarweb analysis, Mercuryo’s business appears to suffer. The website hits have dropped by almost 50% in the last three months. Maybe the folks at Mercuryo should focus on running their business and settling their legal disputes?

Latest Updates

Our June 28, 2023 analysis found that traffic to Mercuryo‘s website plummeted by nearly 50%. China is the most important country at the moment. More than 33% of the hits on Mercuryo‘s website came from there. Between March and May 2023, the number of hits on the website dropped by almost 50%. In May, only 457,000 people visited the website.

One might think that SLAPP campaigns against FinTelegram might be some kind of corporate suicide. With such SLAPP campaigns against media, a company automatically puts itself on display and ensures that everything is discussed in public.

Merchants should be very careful if they plan to process their payments through Mercuryo.
