Exposed – Alleged Broker Scammer Gal Barak invests stolen money in real-estate projects in Bulgaria

Spread financial intelligence

The Israeli Gal Barak and his professional and private partner of many years, the Bulgarian Marina Andreeva, have married. For the wedding, the freshly baked Marina Barak apparently was given a plot of land in a nice suburb of Sofia. Gal Barak had already bought two plots before, the Bulgarian investigative media outlet Bivol reports. They actually buy it with the money stolen from retail investors through his broker scams OptionStarsGlobal, XTraderFX, SafeMarkets, CryptoPoint or Golden Markets.

Over the last couple of years, Marina Barak used to be the beneficial owner of the companies behind the broker scams such as New Markets Ltd, Bright Ideas Ltd, Dynamic Solutions Ltd or Start Markets Ltd before her wedding. As Chief Financial Officer of E&G Bulgaria (formerly E&G Finance) she coordinated the money laundering and distributed the stolen funds via the Bulgarian investment bank.

On September 12, 2019, a court hearing will once again take place in Sofia, Bulgaria, to decide on the extradition of Barak to Austria.

At the beginning of 2019, after more than a year of investigations, the Austrian authorities obtained EU arrest warrants against Gal Barak and his partner, the German citizen Uwe Lenhoff. While Lenhoff is currently waiting in custody in Germany for charges and court proceedings, Gal Barak is allowed to continue his scams in Bulgaria in peace and quiet and let the money of the injured small investors in real estate and online casino projects disappear.

Unbelievable, but true – Bulgaria is an EU member state and hinders the processing of the largest cyberscam organization to date with over 35,000 defrauded EU retail investors and a damage of over €200 million. Many thanks to the Bulgarian authorities for this.
