On 20 October 2022, the Italian regulator Consob announced that it ordered the black-out of six illegally operating online trading websites related to five broker scams. The total number of black-out orders increase to 780. Consob has been authorized by the so-called “Growth Decree” to order Internet connectivity service providers to inhibit access from Italy to the websites through which financial services are offered without due authorization. Below are the sites to be blacked out:
- CMS Ltd with website www.cmsltd.io;
- Cryptopay Limited d/b/a EUFX Bank with website https://eufxbank.com;
- Axicapitals with website https://axicapitals.com;
- Sureinvest with website https://sureinvest.org and related page https://private.sureinvest.co;
- British Trade Limited with website www.britishtradeltd.com.
The number of websites blacked out since July 2019, when Consob got the power to order that the websites of fraudulent financial intermediaries be blacked out, has thus risen to 780.
